Our Story

In 2014, Wilmose Kiplagat a full-time church minister, and missionary transitioned from full-time pulpit ministry in Nairobi and began focusing on how to transform villages through an ‘educate and evangelize program’ that is geared towards changing communities to better their lives. The program focuses on three major areas: Education, Agriculture, and Health.

Wilmose’s turning point came after reading Susie Howe’s Resistance Fighter. “We are not alone but are part of the army of God to make manifest his reign of justice, peace, and goodwill by the power of the Holy Spirit. God’s reign is never passive. He manifests himself through love in action shown by his people towards others, as we defend and take the part of the weak and marginalized in society.”

This presented a new perspective and opened an opportunity to reach out to needy families in villages. Each month Wilmose would visit the village, and visited his mother. This was the land that his father had handed over to him to co-share with his eldest brother, Philip. Neither of the brothers lived in it. God had blessed them differently and deep inside, Wilmose felt the need to use it for something much greater.

Less than a stone's throw away, four kids would always run to their makeshift gate to wave at Wilmose with their infectious smiles. Dressed in dirty worn-out clothes, the eldest boy always had his baby sister strapped on his back. Mother was always out fending for the kids while their father worked in the big city. They all became great friends and eventually lead Wilmose into reaching out to their parents with whom he shared the gospel. All these kids are now enrolled at Providence school.
